Pre-race drill

Tomorrow is race day yet again, this time with the wicked hill four miles in. So, today, I met the others for a half-hour or so of easy running followed by balance drills, stretching, and relaxing. It was nice to see everyone in good spirits.

After that, I picked up my race packet and headed up north to drive about the middle 8 miles of the 10-mile course. (The beginning and end are relatively flat and untroublesome.) I had forgotten one or two little sections that will be a little tricky tomorrow, but as long as I don’t waste all my energy on the big hill I should be fine.

Now I’m just going to sit around the rest of today!
