Yeah, I'm good. I've been out of town all week, and I just got back today. I'll catch up on this stuff tomorrow. I even had something funny happen on one of my runs this week, so it'll be worth the wait.

My kind of workout! Wake up, eat, rest, eat, repeat. And, the record clearly shows that you did make up for this "transgression" with your other runs this week. :-)

Yeah, I didn't see you again after I stopped for water by the IM fields. I followed Peter's suggested modification to the route and turned at 49th (we think that's the official course route), so I may have been ahead of you. That's a bummer about the hamstrings. You were moving along pretty well before that!

Hi Alex, i got lost after i decided to follow a group. We went up to 51st and then Red River? Then, i had no one to follow and ended up at Hancock park? I stopped and ofcourse, my dreaded fear (my hamstrings locked up). I walked pretty much the whole way back!! Told you i was an old car that couldn't stop!!

Thank you! I'm sorry I didn't respond for so long. I was out of town for a week.

I assure you it's not easy, but I do know that if I focus on being as smooth and graceful as possible I get much better results than when I just try to run fast.

Watch the coverage of the elite runners in the marathon every chance you get. They are running really, really fast, and yet for a lot of the race they look like they are just out for a nice easy run.

Alex, Thanks for the race report. And I appreciate what you had to say about how surreal it was. You're a veteran and when you pointed out the unusual consumption of water, it really drives the point home about how deeply dehydrated we all were. I drank like crazy during the race and the rest of the day Sunday and had no output until late Sunday night.

You're a good ambassador and supporter for running and what it can for a person's life. With the race weekend behind me, I'm looking forward to getting caught up on reading BRF posts. Recover well and take care! Tom

That weather sucked..I commend you for finishing it, because that in itself was an amazing feat.
